Buying carry bags in bulk is easier when you begin with the product rather than the bag. Measure what customers take home most often, then choose a shape and strength that gives them a comfortable experience.

Start with product dimensions

A bag should allow enough room for the product without making it look lost inside. Flat garments, boxed sarees, sweet boxes and shoe cartons all need different widths, heights and gusset space.

Understand GSM

GSM refers to the fabric weight per square metre. A higher GSM generally provides a stronger, more substantial feel. Lightweight items can use a lower GSM, while premium garments, boxes and repeat-use bags benefit from a sturdier material.

Match the handle to the job

  • D-cut: compact and economical for fast retail packaging.
  • Loop handle: comfortable for everyday shopping and heavier items.
  • Rope handle: an elevated look for gifts and premium packaging.
  • Gusseted bag: extra depth for boxes and bulkier products.

Before confirming production, request a sample or discuss your product dimensions with the manufacturing team. A small adjustment in size can make a large difference in usability.
